These Wise Women were typically the healers of the villages and the midwives. Intuitive wise women others would go to for advice. These women were greatly respected. They held knowledge and knowledge = power.
....without taking time to reflect or acknowledge how far we’ve come, to let go and reset, we can get lost in the chaos of life. We need to take this time to fine tune, pull back our arrow and aim for what we want. We can’t pull that arrow if we are’t focused or if we weigh heavy.

As someone who hasn't been to one of these days before I was a little anxious. The anxiety fell away when meeting Maddie and the other ladies. A beautiful setting, peaceful and calm, a lovely lunch. Artistic activities and thought provoking, it was a day of relaxation and inward looking, much needed. Thank you.
Having not been to a retreat before I was unsure what to expect but wanted to explore. It didn’t disappoint, if you’re just exploring different routes or just want a day of mindfulness with no expectations attached it’s fantastic, Maddie organises the day brilliant and very detail is considered and thought out, it’s a calming day with laughter and exploration. I loved the day and have booked onto the Xmas retreat. Thank you for a lovely day
This was my first retreat, though I have been to a number of the Hoof&Paw circles. I came alone but felt immediately like I was among friends, which is always something that gives me pause as a social introvert!
The day was really well structured and gave plenty of time for decompression and chatting. The meditations and creative session that Maddy ran were relaxing and linked so well together and with the solstice. It's a joy to find the time for open creativity like that and to just engage in play as an adult!
Kate's perfume session was really informative, creative and super fun. I have never done anything like that before, nor even thought about the complexity of scent in that way. I love my unique-to-me fragrance.
Throughout the day we were well provisioned with snacks, drinks, aircon (essential in the heat!) the venue was really easy to find, in a beautiful setting on the river and they gave us a wonderful wholesome lunch with lovely fresh salads and excellent bread.
I left feeling connected to myself, to the amazing women I met, and so relaxed. Thoroughly recommend this to all, you might not know anyone when you arrive, but you will feel so relaxed and connected when you leave. Magical.
As usual Maddie organised an amazing day, lots of relaxation and a safe space to reflect consider restore and set goals for the months ahead. Left feeling relaxed but energised
After going through a stressful time the retreat day was just what I needed. It felt like a very safe and welcoming space, a great mix of relaxing in the beautiful sunny grounds enjoying the food and tea and also meditating, getting creative and a tarot reading that was spot on for me.
I really enjoyed the day and had the first restful nap and good night sleep I’d had in a long time - thank you ☺️🌸💕
Love attending Maddie’s retreats its such a safe space to be in. Maddie facilitates these spaces with kindness enabling each person present to explore and reflect at their own pace. I have really benefited in having the space to experience life through a different lens and this has lead to true reflection and curiosity about my needs and my pathway. I feel much more grounded, positive and forward looking at the end of the day, whilst also feeling very chilled, always guaranteed a good nights sleep after too
The whole day of the retreat in March was absolutely fabulous!
I attended it as a birthday treat with my daughter and what a lovely way to celebrate 😍
I must say the venue was also gorgeous you couldn’t have held it anywhere prettier.
The food was excellent with so many choices available we were definitely well looked after.
The day seemed so relaxed but very fulfilling with such lovely things to do like the flower pot painting and seed sowing so we could return home to see results springing to life from our day!
The tarot reading was spot on for me from Natalie so thank you so much.
The circle and meditation was so healing and lovely I can’t wait to do more with your Madeleine!
A truly wonderful day with wonderful people who were all so kind and friendly 💕
I attended the Spring Equinox retreat in March and it was the most wonderful experience. First of all the venue was beautiful and we were lucky to be blessed with sunshine all day, the catering was also fantastic with lots of options and plenty to go around (Not a soggy sandwich in sight!)
Moving on to the retreat itself, Maddie had organised it so well that the whole day could not have been more perfect and it felt like it was over way too fast, even though it was 6 hours long!
We painted, planted, set our intentions, ate and chatted. Then there was the added bonus of having 1-2-1 tarot readings with Natalie (who is AMAZING!) which was fascinating.
I left feeling so uplifted and ready for the new season, with the biggest smile on my face.
I will be recommending H&P to everyone and will definitely plan to come along to another one!
A lovely meditation to start or end the day. I have listened to it several times and it never fails to bring me peace.
Maddie is truly amazing!
I went to a circle today on my own, but everyone was so welcoming and kind, I felt accepted immediately. It was an incredibly magical experience and Maddie is so knowledgeable and encouraging - I had the best time! Will definitely be going back!
I went to my first womens circle today and it was the most amazing afternoon spent with some incredible women. I will be booking again.
Madeleine is amazing. She makes you feel so comfortable and safe. I had the best time at one of her monthly circles and came away feeling empowered, relaxed and content. I can not wait to come to another one.

Absolutely beautiful, the small candles have always been one of my favourites, and this was no exception, the aroma, the crystal, the lovely bag, just beautiful, thank you so much Madeline.
