These Wise Women were typically the healers of the villages and the midwives. Intuitive wise women others would go to for advice. These women were greatly respected. They held knowledge and knowledge = power.
....without taking time to reflect or acknowledge how far we’ve come, to let go and reset, we can get lost in the chaos of life. We need to take this time to fine tune, pull back our arrow and aim for what we want. We can’t pull that arrow if we are’t focused or if we weigh heavy.

I am so grateful to have discovered this womens circle! From the communication leading up to the womens circle to the experience itself I found warm, welcoming and evidently a well prepared and protected space. There are opportunities to explore various methods of self motivated practises in which are set up with support. It felt like like being invited into a community of like minded women and something quite special. I look forward to joining in more circles and events in the future!
Such a warm and welcoming environment and hostess. Being a small group felt more intimate and friendly. I felt safe, and free to relax and listen and share thanks to Maddy. It was like a secret hideaway. I love the combination of the energy work with the art work, what a clever combination! Only a few hours but precious and just ‘ours’. Thankyou for organising these meetings such an oasis of peace and tranquility.
I was looking for a women's circle or group after attending some other similar events with really positive experiences.
Finding this little gem was unexpected, but up it popped on my feeds.
Maddy made this very simple all the way through - from booking, to explaining how to find the venue, what to expect, and then introductions and guiding the evening - it all felt seamless yet responsive to the people in the room. My first circle was all I hoped it would be; it felt very safe to be open in this space, and everyone was welcoming and encouraging.
That was my first circle and it most definitely won't be my last!
As a reiki healer myself it can be a challenge to find someone to use and trust with your energy. The healing I received from Madeline was so deep and insightful and I was told things that completely resonated and gave me the ‘spiritual chills’ when listening to her speak about them. Looking forward to booking in again and attending one of her womens circles :). Thank you x
A wonderful day full of creativity and connection. Madeline creates the most amazing atmosphere.
This was my 2nd retreat with Madeleine. This one was in Avebury Wiltshire. Perfect surroundings for a spiritual day. Madeleine has a beautiful approach ensuring we have a safe space and organises relaxing activities to bring out ourselves that we often hide due to busy lives. Starting off with a guided meditation, art, even for a novice I enjoy beautiful lunch and a walk around Avebury stones. there wasn’t any rush to the day. Finishing off with ice creams. I didn’t want to go home.
As a regular Hoof & Paw women’s circle participant, I couldn’t possibly miss out on a full day of magic and beauty with Maddie.
This beautiful day did not disappoint - a gorgeous group of women shared their energy and love during a beautiful summer meditation. Many reflections were made as we step into the latter half of the year.
The art aspect of H&P events is always special. Maddie has the most unique ideas, and encouraged us to play, enjoy, and not take it all too seriously.
We enjoyed a delicious and nutritious lunch, followed by a walk up to the Avebury standing stones for another meditation and very special hand drumming session.
The entire day was absolutely magical, and time spent amongst beautiful women always makes for a great day!
Maddie included a distance reiki healing in after the retreat for every attendee, to carry the magic of the day further. The healing was unlike any other I’ve had before. I was instantly calm and at peace, and woke up the next day with a smile on my face and a lightness in my heart.
I am already looking forward to the next!!
I love these monthly gatherings, they are so welcoming and gentle and it just gives chance to gather yourself again after feeling scattered by life. All elements of the evening are perfectly held and one of my favourites is to sit around a table with like minded ladies to draw, paint, stick and be creative (even though I am not known for my artistic flare 😉) in a safe space. Madeleine is a wonderful guide and always has a new craft activity to try. It feels good to embrace the child qualities with the paints and colours and just engage with whatever the theme is that month. Thank you Madeleine for this very special, safe and gentle space you hold each month. Tory x
I went into this with such an open mind and fully took advantage of laying down cosy on the sofa late morning, under a blanket, with candles on for the first time, EVER. For that alone it was deeply enjoyable and relaxing, like a true body/mind reset. What Maddie fed back afterwards was incredible. All the different readings from each chakra and some real big insights that triggered some powerful shifts. The card pull at the end was sooo poignant for where I'm at. Maddie is amazing and I highly recommend. Can't wait for another session!
I have to admit to be totally sceptical about distance reiki as I couldn’t get my head around how it could possibly work. However, curiosity got the better of me!
It was amazing. So relaxing and the things Maddie talked about afterwards were incredible. Plus I felt absolutely fabulous afterwards. So, big fan and total convert here - so much so that I’ve just had another session.
You owe it to yourself x
This was such a beautiful evening. I usually attend the in-person circles so wasn't sure how much I would get out of it but the meditation was exactly what I needed and it's an incredible online event for those not local. Highly recommend x
Madeleine's online Circles make a beautiful, interesting, engaging and inspiring evening and a great way to meet new and like minded souls. I can't get to the in person Circles, due to distance, however, I've attended 2 online Circles with Madeleine now, each have given so much to me. New friends made and new ideas shared. I was a little nervous to start, but within 5 minutes I felt right at home. The meditations are beautiful (and so healing) and the online Circles have been invaluable to my spiritual journey and development. Love these so much and see the online Circle as a way of enabling you to relax, develop and contribute, no matter where you are. Highly recommend! ✨️🌟💫
